²³ (But Geshur and Aram ·captured [took] the Towns of Jair, as well as Kenath and the ·small towns [villages] around it—sixty towns in all.) All these were descendants of Makir, the father of Gilead.

²⁴ After Hezron died ·in Caleb Ephrathah, his wife Abijah [or Caleb had sexual relations with Ephrath, his father Hezron’s wife, and she] ·had [^Lgave birth to] his son, named Ashhur. Ashhur became the father of Tekoa.

²⁵ Hezron’s ·first son [firstborn] was Jerahmeel. Jerahmeel’s sons were Ram, Bunah, Oren, Ozem, and Ahijah. Ram was Jerahmeel’s ·first son [firstborn].
